Giving Back Through Art: The Paint Cellar at the Logansport Juvenile Correctional Facility

Our very own, Ashlie Duncan, founder of The Paint Cellar, has been visiting the Logansport Juvenile Correctional Facility with the hopes of inspiring students and making a difference through art. Mark Harmon from the Logansport JC Facility, wanted everyone to know how much of an impact the painting classes are having on the students. Mission Small Business Grant Opportunity

The Paint Cellar needs your help! As a small business in its early infancy we want to grow and expand. To do this we need to make some financial investments in our studio. We have applied for a business grant, and thanks to a program sponsored by Chase and LivingSocial called Mission: Small Business℠, your support could help us get approval for a $250,000 grant. But we need at least 250 votes at missionsmallbusiness.com to qualify. To vote for our business:

    1. Go to missionsmallbusiness.com and log in using Facebook.
    2. Search for our business by name OR filter by our State and City.
    3. Click on the blue Vote button next to our business name to show your support for our business.”

We truly appreciate your willingness to vote for our business!

The Paint Cellar and the Day of Change Charity Event

We are very excited to announce that our Creative Director, Ashlie Duncan, has painted a raft oar for the special charity event, Day of Change in Kokomo, Indiana!

About the Day of Change event:
Artists have agreed to paint/carve paddles for raft race on July 14, 2012 (Day of Change). Please visit their display at Center Court Thursday, June 14 through Wednesday, June 20, 2012 and vote for your favorite paddle. These paddles will eventually be auctioned off on July 14, 2012 to raise money for Day of Change (benefiting Advantage Housing, Birthright, CAM, Carver Center, Family Service Association, Gilead House, Kokomo Habitat for Humanity, Loving Hands Adult Day Care, New Leaf Mentoring, and School Supplies & Shoes).

Please come out to the Center Court at Markland Mall at 1114 17th Street to vote for our oar! If you take a picture standing next to our oar, send it in to us so we can post it on our website. When you do, you will be entered into a contest to win 50% off of your next class!
