The Paint Cellar and Club Canine welcomes you and your furry friends to join us for a fun afternoon of paw painting! We’re teaming up to raise money for ARPO (the Alliance for Responsible Pet Ownership). Summer is finally here! With school out there’s more time for the little ones to participate in fun activities that can help them stay active and creative. We’ve added additional kids class times at our studio in Carmel for the summer! We now have kids painting classes on Wednesday and Saturday mornings as well as early Friday evenings.
Unlike most studios, we welcome parents to stay and paint alongside their kids and they even get pay the same price. These classes make the perfect parent/child date! BUT if you just need some time to run errands or something where you can’t stay and paint with your child feel free to drop them off. You can drop off kids 5 years or older and pick them up when class is over – just don’t forget them at the studio!
If you haven’t already heard, we also have a great opportunity to for your kids to immerse themselves in art with our Kids Summer Camps June 15-19 and July 13-17. You can view our kids painting class calendar by clicking here. Continue reading

DIY Coasters are easy to make with a few glass tiles, some industrial glue dots and a few items from your local craft store. Another easy project: Canvas Cupcake Liner Flowers that will last forever and are easy for tiny hands. These crafts make great gifts that kids can create any time of the year! Continue reading

It’s not about what you do; it’s about who you are when you’re doing it.
Don’t get me wrong, to-dos are wonderful.
I love my to-do lists! They help you to dream, imagine and take action in your life. Continue reading
Do you remember arts and crafts projects creating macaroni necklaces, turkeys made with hand-prints, or snowmen made from cotton balls? How about trips to the museum, reports on famous artists accompanied with painting classes, or learning to play the recorder? Such kids activities may seem to only serve as a break from math and spelling lessons, but their importance in a child’s development shouldn’t go unrecognized.
“A growing body of research supports the importance of the arts in a balanced education, including a significant connection between study in the arts and literacy development, mathematics achievement, and overall academic achievement.” Continue reading
