We are happy to announce a new activity at this year’s Indiana Bastille Day: “Paint in the park” classes!
This year, Ten West Center for the Arts is partnering with The Paint Cellar, a local painting class, to offer the chance for anyone to paint a beautiful picture of the Eiffel tower to take home with them for a small admission fee. There will also be a few artists taking their own inspiration from the town and painting their own creations on-site.
“Paint in the Park” classes will definitely add a French dimension to Landmark Park by recreating an authentic Montmartre-like scene right in Fortville!
Montmartre is a hill in the North of Paris. With its many artists setting up their easels each day on the main plaza, it is a reminder of the time when Montmartre was the mecca of modern art. Many penniless painters, including Picasso, Dali and van Gogh, used to live there.
Come experience our own “Montmartresque” atmosphere, right in the heart of Indiana!
