Carmel Fest4th of July Fun!

Are you looking for something fun to do on the 4th of July in Hamilton County that may inspire the entire family? CarmelFest may be exactly what your family needs to build some awesome memories and have a blast together!  This festival is one of our town’s annual events that draw thousands of people from all over central Indiana.

CarmelFest has been a community tradition for 27 years, and includes a patriotic parade, an amazing fireworks display, excellent entertainment, festival food and more! Here is a timeline of the events that you may attend:

Thursday, July 3rd

3:30-6:30pm – CarmelFest Has Talent – 10 semi-finalists from each age category will be performing at the Gazebo.

4:00-10:30pm -There will be plenty of entertainment throughout the afternoon on all four stages: Gazebo Stage, Horizon Bank North Zone Stage, Fire House Stage, and KidZone Stage.

Friday, July 4th

8:00am – 4.5 mile Freedom Race/Run at Carmel High School

8:05am – 1.5 mile Freedom Walk at Carmel High School

9:15am – Kids Run at Carmel High School

10:30am – “The Spirit of AmericaParade will start at Merchant’s Square, go up Carmel Drive, over Rangeline Road and down Main Street to Carmel High School. Local companies, organizations and groups will be designing and entering floats to compete for prizes.

12:00-10:30pm -There will be plenty of entertainment throughout the afternoon on all four stages: Gazebo Stage, Horizon Bank North Zone Stage, Fire House Stage, and KidZone Stage.

Kids Zone – Located in the Carmel Courthouse South Lot, this will be a wonderland for kids of all ages! There will be plenty of family-friendly activities and free entertainment both days of the festival (e.g., a train ride, a Pirates of the Caribbean inflatable, pony rides, a Velcro wall, boat rides, an alligator photo opportunity, strolling characters and the Eurobungy experience). There will also be a petting zoo and an entertainment stage!

MarketPlace – There will be a variety of vendors surrounding the Carmel Fountain just south of the Fire Station on both afternoons of the festival. Crafts, toys, jewelry, fabrics and many other whimsical items will be available, along with booths for local radio stations and sponsors of the festival.

I don’t think any member of your family would be able to say that they are bored with this line-up of events. Come on out on one or both days of CarmelFest and make some patriotic family memories!
